Game Hunter

Trophy Room 2014

Sorry but I need to first answer the one FAQ that keeps coming up for this section: These are not items I am selling. If there is anything on here I decided not to keep it's already been sold or traded by the time you're contacting me.

This was a light year because early on I hit a major score and used up all my good luck apparently. That's alright though because that one great more than made up for it.

Triple Score, Castle of Illusion, and Activision Collection

Triple Score, Castle of Illusion, and Activision Collection

Here's some cheap stuff from Half Price Books I bought sometime in the winter. Yes, I already have a copy of the Activision collection for PSOne but it's the Greatest Hits package not the original. No I don't have a hoarding problem, really I don't.

Nintendo Lot

Nintendo Lot

This is the best deal I've landed in a long time. There's a neighborhood near me that has an annual garage sale in mid-May and I always find something good there. This time around someone had a milk crate filled primarily with Super Nintendo games. Right on top I noticed Super Mario RPG and Yoshi's Island. I asked what they wanted and they said a buck per game. It was tough to contain my excitement at that point. I offered $15 for the whole box and they took it. Practically any game in this box would recoup the $15 on eBay. A number of these are duplicates of course so eventually I'll sell some of them I guess.

The copies of Spyro and GTA were from a different garage sale that same day. They were a measly 50 cents apiece.

Shadowgate, Sol-Feace, and Zero Tolerance

Shadowgate, Sol-Feace, and Zero Tolerance

Here's what I bought on my annual pilgrimage to Freaktoyz. This came in at $20 all together.

Windows 1.0, Majora's Mask preview, N64 Transfer Pak

Windows 1.0, Majora's Mask preview, N64 Transfer Pak

These beauties set me back a cool dollar at a garage sale. There's a copy of Windows 1.0 for a quarter, a N64 Trasfer Pak also for a quarter, and a Majora's Mask preview tape for 50 cents.

A couple $1 pick-ups at Half Price Books.

Pinball for Microvision

Pinball for Microvision

This was mixed-in with a stack of board games at a garage sale for $2. I interrogated the owners to see if they had any other Microvision games or even the system itself. They had no idea what I was talking about. I invented a crazy back-story to explain how they came into possession of a single Microvision game without the player.

Various $1 games

Various $1 games

Here's another stack of $1 games from Half Price Books.

Various $1 games

Pac Man coffee mug

I bought this for $2 or $3 at a garage sale and immediately brought it into the office.
