GAME ADVICE


Along with the walkthrough/story, I thought it would be very useful to game players if I made some additional help such as hints, advice, keymaps, and some technical info. So bear with me, as I find out more things useful, I'll post 'em here.

SNATCHER MEGA-CD TEXTS!

Takamichi has provided us with a complete list of every text in the Mega-CD version of Snatcher! This can be very useful for people intending to translate the MSX version.

GUNNERY SCHOOL

JUNKER HQ offers a very nice little Range which comes in handy only if you know how to use the gun. First off, you have to hold the Shift key to keep your gun up, and the battle grid will pop up. The following is a keymap to the grid.

METAL'S LAMP

In Queen Hospital you must search through an un-lit room. Metalgear has a built-in lamp you can use. You need to move the lamp to where you want to look, and hit the "look" command. The following is a keymap to the lamp controls. Also remember to hold shift while using these keys.

KATAKANA TRANSLATION

In all Japanese games, the text form used for menus and english words is called Katakana. Snatcher uses this for the same purpose, and to help everyone understand Katakana, I've uploaded two very valuable JPEG images that explain everything.
